Bukidnon Newsletter
Greetings from YWAM Bukidnon!
Dear Family and Friends,
Sometimes we think that we can’t do a lot if we have a limited budget. I refuse to believe that, for I believe that despite our limitations, we can still be generous, even to our last penny, and then I could say, Let God do the rest.
We decided last August 11–13 to have a DVBS (Daily Vacation Bible School) for children. Though we don’t have a budget for it, we felt that we didn’t need to wait for the funds to be available, in other words, not to be controlled by the circumstances, and we decided to run. It turns out that it was successful, and the kids were so blessed.
The event went well, and the kids kept coming, though we didn’t allow them to stay overnight but instructed them to come back the next day to continue what they started, which is the DVBS. Faithfully, they came back every morning and participated in the said event.
In the end, we give them a certificate of completion that shows that they successfully finished the whole activity.
Many of them testified and shared their experiences, and they are so glad that they were able to participate.
To know God
To make Him Known
DAILY VACATION BIBLE STUDY
Every Wednesday we have a Mother’s Bible Study. This was intentional since we noticed that the tribes are divided and were hoping that our weekly meeting with them would unite them. Many of them were not coming to church because they were offended or hurt.
Early this year, we let the school students follow up with them in connection to their existing church, but it seems most of them did not participate, so we decided to have a separate meeting with them and emphasize that we came here not to build a church but to have a fellowship with them. We started this meeting with them once a week in May 2023, and it seems very successful. We have a once-a-month fellowship with them at our place, and after the event we feed them and let them bring some food and rice for their families.
They notice that we don’t want to create a conflict with their church, which encourages them to participate in the said activity.

On Saturday, another family in the neighborhood did a Bible study with the Pepito family and had a meeting while visiting them.
We thank God for the opportunity that he gave us. These are the souls of people that God allowed us to minister to, and we acknowledge that we can’t do this without God, and for not allowing us to minister to His people, we give all the glory and honor to Him, our Lord Jesus Christ.
We thank God for the wisdom and knowledge of how to deal with these people and how to creatively approach them. We give all the glory to God!
Thank you very much for your prayers and support. We have reached this far because of your continued backing us up, and we are so grateful to God for your obedience to His kingdom.
Let us also know your prayer request so that we can specifically pray for you.
Thank you very much, and may God richly bless you.
Blessings, Andy and Ana Abler
